The towns of Winter Park and Fraser have everything that you might need. Fraser is only about three miles north of Winter Park and everything is accessible via a free Shuttle Bus service should you not have a car or just chose not to use it. Within Winter Park itself are Several ski and bike equipment sales and rental companies. You may find that it is more confenient to rent your equipment in town rather than deal with the crowds at the ski area rental facilities.  In town as well are numerous restaurants with just about any kind of menu that you might desire as well as a convenience store, post office and a small movie theatre.  Fraser has a new Safeway with Starbucks and pharmacy,  a discount department store, package stores and hardware store.

If you are feeling adventuresome, there are snowmobile rentals for the adults. Also in Fraser is a snow tubing hill.

In the summer you will find many hiking paths, fishing in nearby streams and a golf course along with some of the best mountain biking around.
